County council cuts down clear-cut requests

Aug. 31, 2011 -A county council near London, Ontario, has ruled against a farmer who was cutting down trees on his own property in order to increase his land base for agricultural use. The council has fined him $400 per acre of trees that have been cut down, with one councillor suggesting the fine is insufficient, while one neighbour stated it was "delightful."            READ MORE
