AGI increases production capabilities of smoothwall bins

Mar. 21, 2016 - Ag Growth International Inc. has converted its AGI Nobleford facility into a Westeel Smoothwall production facility. This conversion is meant to increase AGI's smoothwall production capabilities and to facilitate the introduction of a commercial smoothwall product line.

The AGI Nobleford Facility, located in Nobleford, Alta., has 186,000 square feet of production and office space. Presently, AGI manufactures all Westeel smoothwall bins at one facility in Saskatoon, Sask.

According to a news release, this decision follows AGI's recently announced agreement to acquire NuVision Industries Inc., which increases AGI's presence in the build out of western Canadian commercial fertilizer handling and storage facilities.

AGI will immediately begin the conversion of the Nobleford facility in order to increase its smoothwall production capabilities. The galvanized bin production presently taking place in Nobleford will be transferred to the Westeel Winnipeg facility.
