Pool return outlooks higher

Feb. 4, 2013 - The Canadian Wheat Board says winter pool projected returns are now $10 per tonne higher for wheat than they were a month ago.

The board says wheat futures have been supported by the poor condition of the US Hard Red Winter wheat crop.

It also says the lack of physical corn in the US also suggests that strong wheat feeding will continue through to new crop corn availability.

Pool return outlooks for durum, meanwhile, are $6 per tonne higher than they were at the start of January, and 35 dollars per tonne higher for canola.
