The Canola Council of Canada (CCC) is pleased to announce that Chris Davison will be its next president and CEO.

“Davison brings a deep background in the industry, as well as a great passion for and commitment to the future growth of the sector,” says Jennifer Marchand, chair of the CCC board of directors. “We are delighted to have him lead the CCC and continue to build on the strength of our partnership across the canola value chain.”

Davison joined the CCC in August 2021 as vice-president, stakeholder and industry relations. Prior to joining the CCC, he held leadership roles with several organizations, most recently with Syngenta as head of business sustainability for North America. He has more than 25 years of experience in the agriculture sector, including work in the areas of public and regulatory affairs, and government and industry relations.

“I’m honoured and thrilled with the opportunity to take on this role and to continue working with the tremendous staff and board at the CCC,” says Davison. “This is a very dynamic and exciting time for the canola industry, and I look forward to working collaboratively with our members and other stakeholders to continue to drive the industry forward.”

“We are very fortunate to have Davison step into this role,” says Jim Everson, outgoing CCC president. “Davison has demonstrated strong leadership and teamwork which he will put to work to advance the sector as part of its next phase of growth.”

Davison will assume his new role July 31.
