Ag scholarship available in Saskatchewan

Oct. 30, 2013, Regina, SK - Saskatchewan Agriculture has launched its fourth annual Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship.

One winning scholarship valued at $4,000 and three runner-up scholarships valued at $2,000 each will be awarded to students in Grade 12 and recent graduates entering agriculture-related post-secondary studies in 2014.

Those interested in the scholarship must produce a three minute creative video or write a well-researched, fact-based 1,000 word essay that showcases one of four themes: agriculture solutions for a growing world, farmers and ranchers as environmental stewards, safe food that is responsibly produced or agriculture as a modern, forward-looking industry.

Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2014. Winning submissions will be posted on the Saskatchewan Agriculture website in the spring.
