Manitoba harvest advancing slowly
Sept. 17, 2014 - Harvest progress in Manitoba is advancing slowly due to unseasonable cool and damp weather.
The latest crop report states that a light frost occurred in several parts of the province over the past week, causing concern for damage to immature soybeans and canola.
Yields for cereals and canola are average with some quality concerns due to the prolonged wet harvest.
