Crop development, harvest slows in Manitoba

Sept. 2, 2014 - Rainfall and cooler temperatures slowed crop development and harvest progress in Manitoba last week, according to the latest provincial crop report.

Winter wheat harvest is nearing completion in many areas with average to below average yields and below average quality.

Harvest of spring wheat, oats, barley and canola continues in some areas of Manitoba. Early reports indicate average yields and quality.
