BASF and Andrukow Group and Partners come together to raise money for Stollery Children’s Hospital

MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 28, 2012 /CNW/ - BASF Canada and Andrukow Group and Partners (AGSI) have committed to work with Western Canadian canola growers to raise money for Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation by providing growers with the latest technology and expert agronomic support.

The program, Grow with Your Community, is in its second year and provides growers with BASF's HEADLINE® fungicide so they can see the benefits on their own farms. The treated fields will be analyzed at harvest and any increase in production will be donated by the farmer. BASF will also match the donation from the grower with the highest yield increase.

"This is a great opportunity for growers to use a new product on their canola while supporting a very worthwhile cause," said Ernest Nycholat, Business Representative at BASF Canada. "We are so pleased to work with growers through this program for the second year."

AGSI will also donate $500 on behalf of each participating grower to the community organization of their choice upon registration in the program.

"AGSI is very excited to be working with BASF and our growers as a part of the Grow with Your Community program this year," said Keynon Ternovoy, Marketing and Business Development Coach at AGSI and Partners. "This program is an excellent way for growers to help improve their local community and support a very worthwhile organization, the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation."

The Stollery Children's Hospital, in Edmonton provides services to one of the largest health regions in the world including numerous specialty services. It is Western Canada's referral centre for pediatric cardiac surgery, a national leader in organ transplantation, and it cares for children from northern and central Alberta.
