June 26, 2023  By Top Crop Manager

Azotic Technologies Ltd. (Azotic) announced its nitrogen-fixing products of Envita in Canada, as well as Encera in the United Kingdom, are approved for organic use.

″Global market demand for organically certified crops is growing and the addition of these organic approvals to our product portfolio provides Azotic further growth potential beyond our production agriculture foundation,” says Ray Chyc, CEO of Azotic. ″Our goal is to have our N-fixing products fit any farming practice while delivering strong ROI. With these organic registrations and more to come, we are delivering on that promise.″

Envita and Encera are applied in a liquid formulation as foliar or in-furrow applications, allowing farmers to reduce synthetic nitrogen fertilizer in crops including corn, soybeans, potatoes and cereals while maintaining yield. Envita and Encera are also applied to existing fertilizer programs to boost yields. Envita and Encera enable cells throughout the plant, including foliage and roots, to fix their nitrogen and fill the nitrogen gap between crop-available and crop-accessible nitrogen.

Canadian approval is based on the National Standard of Canada on Organic Production Systems and Permitted Substances Lists. In The U.K., organic suitability is set according to the Soil Association Organic Standards for Great Britain & Northern Ireland as a preparation of micro-organisms.
