Feb. 21, 2013 - Taiwan is an emerging market for food-grade soybeans grown in Canada.
The Canadian International Grains Institute says the key is to segregate genetically modified from the non-genetically modified beans.
She says to Asian customers, food-grade usually means non-genetically modified.
Meanwhile, Japan remains the top market for Canadian non-GM soybeans. Canada has been its largest supplier for the last three years.
