Rock picker app now available

Apr. 4, 2014 – DirtTech has recently added to their crop of mobile apps with the official launch of the Rock Picker app. The Rock Picker app is designed to allow farmers to mark and pick rocks in the field using the GPS on their smart phones or tablets. The rock locations are instantly synchronized with other tractors via DropBox for real-time flagging and picking without ever stopping.

In May 2014, two more DirtTech mobile solutions will be available:

• Field Scout is a simple GPS/GIS field scouting app used by farmers and agronomists to record weed, insect, and disease infestations, stages and severity. It is also capable of generating reports and consultant recommendations in pdf form.
• Grade Master is a survey and grade rod app designed for use in land forming operations. When paired with a Bluetooth RTK GPS the app will replace a laser grade rod as well as collect, save and synchronize RTK based elevation data and wirelessly transfer it to DropBox. Both Android and iOS versions are available.

DirtTech is the same company that has produced mobile solutions such as the Field Tracer and Ag Tile Estimator apps. Field Tracer is an app designed to simplify your mobile GPS/GIS mapping and data collection operations such as soil sampling and ground truthing. Ag Tile Estimator is a drain tile calculator app.
