Speakers

Ian Epp, Agronomy Specialist, Canola Council of Canada

Ian Epp was raised on a family grain farm near Blaine Lake SK, where he continues to be involved in the operation. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc. in Agriculture, majoring in Agronomy. Since October 2015 Ian has been an Agronomy Specialist with the Canola Council of Canada. Ian is the CCC’s sustainability lead and assists in public affairs regarding pesticides, his areas of interest include weed control and herbicide resistance.

Kim Brown Livingston, Weed Specialist, Manitoba Agriculture and Rural Development

Rob Gulden, Professor, University of Manitoba

Rob Gulden is a Professor at the University of Manitoba focusing on Crop and Weed Management.  He grew up on a family farms in Europe and Manitoba and completed graduate degrees in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.  He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Guelph, ON, before returning to Manitoba for his current appointment.  His research focus and interests include crop-weed competition, volunteer canola management, crop and weed seed characteristics, plant spatial arrangement,  agronomic factors that affect seed quality in crops, and biostatistics.
