Biofuels not to blame for 2008 food crisis

Apr. 1, 2010 -Contrary to popular media reports two years ago, the so-called food crisis of 2007/08 was not caused by increased production of biofuels, according to a report commissioned by the UK government.  Instead, higher food prices and shortages occurred because of the combined effect of drought and higher oil prices.         READ MORE
