Saskatchewan sets record for ag exports

Mar. 4, 2014 - For the third straight year, Saskatchewan set a record for agriculture exports in 2013.

The province is reporting total sales of $11.7 billion.

That is an increase of nearly five per cent from the previous year and 83 per cent above 2007.

Saskatchewan's agriculture exports represent 23 per cent of Canada's overall total, and more than one-third of all provincial exports.

The province's top three exported agriculture commodities included non-durum wheat, canola seed and canola oil.
