New farm head plans to get closer to politicians

Nov. 22, 2011 -The Ontario Federation of Agriculture has elected a new president. Mark Wales, a fruit and vegetable farmer from Port Bruce, Ontario, won in a second-ballot vote that saw him emerge victorious with a count of 129 to 128, defeating association vice president Don McCabe. It is noted the OFA has 36,000 members and represents a provincial agriculture and agri-food industry worth $33 billion. READ MORE
