Ag economist expects hog crisis to get worse

Nov. 24, 2009 -Pork production in the US (and in Canada) will not improve to any degree until the industry scales back by at least 15 percent in order for hog prices to return to a break-even position.  And bankers are more likely to force the issue, says a University of Missouri economist.
