World grain production down in 2010 but recovering

Nov. 29, 2011 -Production of grains on a global basis actually fell in 2010, despite record yields of both rice and corn. It was actually wheat production in 2010 that fell enough to bring total grain output to below levels of 2008. But the good news is that preliminary data for 2011 indicate a recovery is taking shape.
