Sept. 3, 2014 - An unstable weather pattern that covered Alberta the last two weeks of August brought cool, wet weather to all regions. While harvest has continued, it has slowed to a crawl.
As at Sept. 2, approximately 13 per cent of crops in the province had been combined with a further 26 per cent in the swath.
Fifty-four per cent of the canola and 15 per cent of the spring wheat and barley crops were in the swath on Sept. 2, while almost 70 per cent of the field pea crop had been harvested.
