On Feb. 26, 2019, Top Crop Manager hosted the 2019 Soil Management and Sustainability Summit in Saskatoon. Experts from across Canada covered such topics as precision farming, cover crops, soil fertility management, intercropping and more.

Cory Willness from CropProConsulting presented on Soil, Water and Topography (SWAT) maps and explained how the information from SWAT maps assist growers with variable-rate fertilizer and seed prescriptions.

In the video below, Willness breaks down the difference between SWAT maps and other satellite or drone imagery as well as offers tips for growers looking to improve their variable-rate practices.
