Sept. 21, 2011 – It maybe a preliminary study, but initial reports from
the University of Illinois indicate second-year yields from corn-on-corn
are as much as 27 bu/ac lower than in fields with corn after soybeans.
The study is based on comparisons of 165 bu/ac yield in corn after
soybeans and 50 bu/ac yields for soybeans, plus $500 per acre non-land
cost for corn and $290 per acre non-land cost for soybeans. | READ MORE
