United Phosphorus announces corporate name change to UPL

UPL, a producer of crop protection products, announced that the company changed the name of its North American operation from United Phosphorus, Inc., to UPL NA Inc., effective Jan. 1, 2019.
The company produces a variety of fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides including products like Devrinol, Blazer, Penncozeb, and Upcyde, for use on crops such as potatoes, soybeans, tobacco, fruits and vegetables.
UPL globally has a presence in over 130 countries on six continents. UPL manufactures a variety of brands to protect crops and property throughout its 33 manufacturing and formulation facilities in 11 countries. UPL recently acquired Arysta LifeScience Inc., another global producer of crop protection products such as biosolutions and seed treatments, for U.S. $4.2 billion in the summer of 2018.
