UFA contributes $50,000 to grassroots causes

June 10, 2013, Calgary, AB - UFA Co-operative Limited is a proud supporter of Farmers Day, which was celebrated on Friday, June 7th. This year, UFA donated $50,000 in honour of Farmers Day to over 100 local organizations in the communities they serve across Alberta and areas of Saskatchewan and B.C.
UFA's network of Farm & Ranch Supply stores and Petroleum agencies, took part in determining where to share the Farmers Day donation across the province. Each local store and agency provided a $500 cheque to an organization that champions rural sustainability. Many locations held cheque presentations and had special guests visit their store or agency to show their appreciation.
Farmers Day is a long-standing Alberta tradition. For farmers, it's just another day of hard work. For UFA, it's a time to appreciate and reflect on the contributions farmers make every day, all year long.
