UAP to market corn herbicide in Western Canada

Jan. 2, 2014, Oak Bluff, MB - United Agri Products (UAP) is the new Western Canada distributor for Impact herbicide. UAP announced in a news release in mid-December 2013 that they have signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Amvac Netherlands B.V., the international sales and marketing subsidiary of Amvac Chemical Corporation, for the 2014 season.

Impact herbicide offers corn producers control of broadleaf weeds along with grass control. It is registered for field corn, both conventional and herbicide tolerant hybrids, sweet corn and seed corn hybrids and inbred lines.

Impact is a systemic herbicide that is absorbed by leaves, roots and shoots, and translocated to the growing
points of sensitive weeds to provide post-emergence control of emerged weeds. In glyphosate tolerant fields, Impact is commonly tank-mixed with glyphosate and atrazine.
