Saskatchewan student scholarships awarded
May 21, 2013, Regina, SK - Ten students from Saskatchewan are winners of the 2013 Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship. The students from across the province will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to help pay for their agriculture-related post-secondary education.
Applicants were asked to produce a three-minute creative video or write a well-researched 750-word essay describing why agriculture, now more than ever, is a vibrant, diverse industry. They also provided letters of recommendation from a teacher, agriculture industry leader or community leader.
The winners of the scholarship are:
- Kaitlyn Polegi, Jedburgh
- Samantha McKee, Turtleford
- Bethany Harland, Frenchman Butte
- Sheldon Moellenbeck, Humboldt
- Sydney Lake, Turtleford
- Ryan Olson, Penzance
- Bailey Wilson, Tugaske
- Kenton May, Riverhurst
- Brett Bowes, Kamsack
- Jonathan Neigum, Unity
