Russian agriculture set to invest heavily

Sept. 6, 2011 -Russia's farm ministry has pledged to spend $230 billion by 2020 in order to raise grain output and exports, cut raw sugar imports and establish the country as an exporter of pork and poultry. And while the production goals may be attainable, the foreign markets for these products may not be available because of higher global competition, according to one Russian analyst.                   READ MORE
