Processor and traits company join forces
Nov. 2, 2011 -In a bid to address the growing demand for cost-effective access to Omega-3 products, Cargill and BASF have announced an agreement to co-develop a new source of an essential fatty acid in canola oil. The fatty acid, EPA/DHA, is naturally present in cold water fish, but this partnership will provide opportunities to incorporate it into other foods, pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements.
