OMAFRA: Mental health resources for agriculture

Farming is a stressful occupation at any time, but recent world events have created significant additional pressures on farming operations and those who support them. While recent years and efforts have done much to reduce the stigma and recognize the importance of supporting mental health in agriculture, many still try to “go it alone.”
While most of us are not trained in mental health, we:
- are farmers or have close contact with farmers, allowing us to notice changes in those around us in the industry; and
- understand the unique stresses in agriculture.
