New tool for crop scouting

June 10, 2013 - Crop scouts can now record issues for the most common crops electronically, in real time and in one single application. Rev!ID allows ag retailers and field scouts to have one central tool and field reference that syncs data back to their customer records.

Rev!ID hit the market last week in the U.S. and Canada. It's the first mobile-all-one-tool to scout more than 300 crops. The app also tracks and identifies more than 1,500 issue types. Crop consultants, growers, retailers and field scouts can work independently or together from Rev!ID.

Rev!ID works with some of the most innovative and influential IT companies in the world, including SST Software, the leader in agriculture information management. Rev!ID leverages the power of the SST agX issue and crop taxonomy data. The app automatically syncs with boundary providers such as SST Summit. Users can also draw their own field lines or upload a .shp file.

Users can take pictures of scouting events with their mobile device and create field-specific reports. Then, they can email results to retailers, applicators and growers. For those scouts that work as teams or for an ag retailer with the 'Collaborator' feature, users can share customers and their field boundaries to ensure they have coverage over those fields at peak times.

Rev!ID also uses its own "Wiktionary" photo and reference tool to harness the power of groupthink. With this tool, users can crosscheck photos and diagnoses from the palm of the hand.

All data is stored on a secured Rev!ID web management site. Users can set up collaborations, manage their account, track issues, edit reports, download and share.

Rev!ID can be downloaded from the iTunes store. Visit www.revidapp.com and create an account, or call 888-721-1971.
