New survey shows 95 percent of consumers trust farmers

Oct. 26, 2009 -A new survey commissioned by the National Corn Growers Association shows Americans stand behind their farmers, with 95 percent support and trust for the job they do. The findings mirror what used to be an annual gaging of professions by Leger Marketing, in which farmers garnered the trust of 96 percent of Canadians in 2008, a four percent hike from 2007, and a solid third behind nurses and firefighters.
