Sept. 10, 2014, Guelph, Ont. – FMC has added a lower rate for setup treatments in corn and soybeans with Focus herbicide, used when the grower is planning on coming in with a glyphosate application later in the season.
Pyroxasulfone, the soil active, group 15 herbicide in Focus, provides extended residual on both grassy and broadleaf weeds in corn and soybeans at low rates. The new rate for setup treatments is 48 grams/acre of pyroxasulfone 85WDG, which equates to 100 grams of active ingredient per hectare.
Focus is distributed by UAP and is a co-pack of pyroxasulfone and carfentrazone.
