New seed treatment from Bayer
Jan. 29, 2014 - Bayer CropScience Canada introduces Raxil PRO Shield, a new cereal seed treatment that incorporates the systemic and contact disease protection from Raxil, with the plant health benefits and wireworm protection of Stress Shield.
Raxil PRO Shield offers seed- and soil-borne disease control with three fungicidal activities, including prothioconazole. Bayer CropScience says Stress Shield was engineered to improve plant health by combating the negative effects of plant strains by supplying additional energy pools for internal repair and coping systems resulting in plants with a higher performing root system, robust growth and increased yield. Stress Shield also fights off wireworm by causing the insect to fall dormant long enough for the seed to mature.
Raxil PRO Shield is registered for use on wheat, barley and oats.
