New seed company in southwestern Ontario

Aug. 21, 2014, Blenheim, Ont. – C & L Seed Production Inc. will be up and running for harvest 2015, according to a company press release.

The company will specialize in wholesale corn seed production, focusing most of its production energies on small lots. It will be owned and operated by the Giffin family (Lyle and Lee) and the Stewart family (Chris, Craig and Dale of John Ern Farms). 

Construction on the C & L Seed Production facility is scheduled to begin early this fall. Timelines have the processing facility fully functional and operating in time for the 2015 harvest.
