New reports of severe rootworm damage to Bt corn

Sept. 27, 2011 -More than a month after the first documented reports of rootworm damage in Bt corn, severe injury from corn rootworm has been confirmed by Dr. Mike Gray, entomologist with the University of Illinois.   Many of the same features found in the initial Iowa State University report are shared in this instance; corn has been grown without rotation, with the expression of the same protein in successive years.   READ MORE
