Landoll redesigns 5000 series grain drills

June 28, 2013 - Landoll 500 Series grain drills now include an all-new fluted seed metering system for better seed singulation and improved population control.

The company says they have gone to an externally fluted seed meter and doubled the number of flutes on each metering wheel. The seed meter opening is also wider, which allows the producer to control seed population through both opening size and speed. The new meter is meant to give producers a wider range of seed sizes and the ability to accurately seed higher plant populations.

The redesigned 5000 Series grain drills also feature a new Loup Monitor as standard equipment for in-cab monitoring of seed population, seed sensors and hopper levels, allowing operators to review field acres, total acres covered, etc.
