INTRODUCTION:Thinking one year out?

November 26, 2007 By Peter Darbishire
In spite of the constant need to consider the short-term, the value of
long-term thinking is well-known. It is with this in mind that we urge
producers to consider the 2007 crop when harvesting this year's.
Fall brings opportunities in several areas, including weed control, soil
testing, fertilizer and manure application, as well as seeding winter
wheat, a crop that continues to make advances in total acreage. This crop
has many benefits and proper planning will provide the most return.
