International Farm Management Competition winner announced

June 24, 2013 – Farm Management Canada (FMC) and FBC have chosen Mark Foster of Jockbrae Farms in Carleton Place, Ont., the winner of the first ever International Farm Management Competition. 

Awarded during Farm Management Canada's National Farm Business Management Innovation Roundtable, Foster has won an all-expenses paid trip to attend the International Farm Management Congress in Poland this summer.

While in Poland, Foster and the FMC team will report from the Congress via Twitter and other social media channels. Upon his return, Foster will write two articles to share insights on his experience and entice participation for the International Farm Management Congress, coming to Canada in 2015. 

The challenge was to make a brief video demonstrating how Canadian farmers are managing for success. Judges took into consideration a combination of video quality, theme focus and social media uptake. All of the entries, including Foster's, can still be seen on FMC's YouTube channel.
