India’s pulse imports likely to rebound in 2012

Oct. 19, 2011 -Good news for Western Canada pulse producers: India's demand for pulses should rebound in 2012, according to a report from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The US agency cites record production of pulses in India in 2010-11, which led to lower demand for imported product from abroad. But this year's Indian crop is expected to be lower than that record, meaning higher demand.  READ MORE
