November 8, 2012, - Canada - Syngenta Canada Inc. is reaching out to Canadian farm families and challenging them to “Show Us Your Roots”. As part of a multi-province contest, Syngenta is asking growers to submit family photos and provide a brief explanation of who is in the photo and how they have supported their farm operation for a chance to win a family reunion.

“Our heritage and our family play an important role in shaping who we are,” states Tracy Clark, Marketing Communication Manager with Syngenta Canada Inc. “We want to give farmers the opportunity to show their appreciation for the people in their lives that who have contributed to their farm’s success.”

The launch of Cruiser Maxx Vibrance seed treatment is the inspiration for this contest. Starting with and maintaining strong, healthy roots are key to growing crops that thrive. Similarly, strong, healthy family roots are what help families thrive.

From now until February 1, 2013, growers can submit photos that best illustrate family members who have shaped, inspired and supported their family in farming.

One winner will be selected in each of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario and one from the Maritime provinces. Each winner will receive $5,000 towards a family reunion. Winners will be announced on Family Day February 18, 2013.
