June 3, 2010, Saint-Quentin, N.B. – A month away from the launch of its wood pellet operation, Saint-Quentin’s Groupe Savoie Inc. is lobbying the province to promote use of the renewable fuel at home.

Today, executives from the forest products firm are meeting with Department of Energy deputy minister Claire LePage in an effort to sell her on the government forming a policy to stimulate pellet demand locally.

Company president Jean-Claude Savoie said in an interview he wants the province to replace the oil it imports to fuel district heating systems in schools, hospitals and other government buildings with pellets. | READ MORE
