PowerCore is a robust, three-gene trait stack that delivers protection against five of the most serious above- ground insect pests in corn. With three different Bt proteins – Cry1F, Cry1A.105 and Cry22Ab2 – it provides multiple modes of action for season-long control of European corn borer, black cutworm, fall armyworm, corn earworm and Southwestern corn borer.
“With multiple modes of action, it’s better than anything else available in the marketplace,” said Bill Webster, Corn Product Manager with Dow Seeds Canada in a press release. “PowerCore will be available in new elite genetic lines, most of which include the new Enlist weed control system trait. This will provide our customers with a powerful new tool to maximize corn production and manage hard-to-control weeds.”
