Delegate insecticide registered for aerial application on corn
Corn growers across Ontario and Quebec now have the option of applying Delegate insecticide by air for control of Western bean cutworm (WBC) and European corn borer.
March 7, 2018 By Top Crop Manager
Delegate contains a Group 5 mode of action that targets the insect nervous system to provide quick knockdown and residual control of both pests. The active ingredient is Spinetoram, is the only Group 5 mode of action in an insecticide that is registered for use on corn crops to control these pests.
Under the Ontario Pesticides Advisory Committee, Delegate is classified as a class 3 pesticide and does not require a permit to apply it by air.
Please contact your local agricultural retail to access Delegate insecticide.
