China accelerating its GM corn research

Nov. 1, 2011 -To meet its growing demand for corn, China is said to be accelerating the pace of its own GM corn research, according to a report from Crop Biotech. China is shifting its food production sector, specifically livestock and poultry, to a more industrialized model, meaning the country will have to either import more corn from abroad or boost production within its borders.          READ MORE
