Canadian Western Agribition Reveals Speakers for Grain Expo

October 26, 2012 - Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) has announced the speaker line-up for this year’s first ever Grain Expo on November 20-21 at Queensbury Salon, Evraz Place in Regina, Saskatchewan.

This major grain industry conference has been born from the need for a timely event in Southern Saskatchewan which caters to the needs of Prairie Farmers. The Grain Expo provides a uniquely positioned forum for grain industry information, discussion and networking.

“Timing is everything. Agribition comes just after harvest is over. It’s a great place for farmers to get together and learn about new products and services. We are proud to support this event and create a venue for farmers to grow,” said Kirby Engele, Operations Manager of Young’s Equipment.

Grain producers from across Western Canada will receive a special invite to take part in this integrated trade show and technical conference geared towards cutting edge topics and technologies.

CWA announced the following topics and speakers for the 2012 Grain Expo:

Changing Prairie Landscape of Grain Marketing - Tyler Russell
The Evolution of Hybrid Canola - Dr. Greg Gingera
The Prairie Economic Story - Is it Sustainable? -Paul Martin
The Future of Weed Control in Western Canada-  Clark Brenzil
What the Heck is a Hashtag? -Lyndsey Smith
Nitrogen and Sulfur Mineralization -Dr. Jeff Schoenau
The Growth of Healthy Oils within the Food Industry -Tyler Groeneveld
Canola Diseases 2012- What Happened! -Clint Jurke
Unravelling Agri-Stability -Doug Faller

On top of the information sessions, CWA patrons will also see the largest trade show offering since its inception with close to 500 exhibitors. The trade show is anchored by the new Machinery Mall which showcases modern grain focused products and technologies.

“Most growers think Agribition is just a cow show. We are going to show the grain industry we have something for them too. Integrating our trade show programs with an information based seminar is exactly what the industry asked for,” said Marty Seymour, CEO of Canadian Western Agribition.

Producers interested in attending the Grain Expo can contact one of the many supporters, including Young’s Equipment, Bayer CropScience, Cargill, CIBC, Dow AgroSciences, Farm World, Federated Co-op Ltd., SaskCanola, or Canadian Western Agribition for their ticket to the Grain Expo.
