Brazil’s soy area to grow 3.6 percent

Aug. 2, 2011 -A Brazilian consultancy agency is predicting that the country is set to increase its soybean-growing area by 3.6 percent for the 2011-12 crop year.  That means growth of 2.1 million acres, much of which will take place in the Mato Grosso (620,000 acres). Soybean exports are forecast at 35.6 million tonnes with more than 60 percent of that being shipped to China.          READ MORE
