Bayer launches new sclerotinia fungicide for canola

Earlier this week, Bayer Crop Science announced the launch of Proline GOLD, a new fungicide for canola that provides protection against high sclerotinia pressure. Proline GOLD brings together two active ingredients – prothioconazole, and a new active to the canola market, fluopyram – that will provide growers with protection against severe infections of sclerotinia .

 “As one of canola’s most dangerous diseases, sclerotinia can severely impact a grower’s yield if not properly managed,” says Jamie Mills, canola grower and channel marketing manager with Bayer Crop Science. “Proline GOLD offers growers protection in situations where sclerotinia is at its worst.”

Proline GOLD is an easy-to-use liquid formulation for growers looking for a multi-mode of action fungicide that offers systemic and contact protection. Its two modes of action work together to provide immediate and extended results.

Recent local trials demonstrated that Proline GOLD’s two active ingredients provided control of sclerotinia under heavy disease pressures.
