Australian carbon farming legislation voted in
Aug. 23, 2011 -Farmers in Australia are now one step closer to being able to earn money using their land from the sale of carbon credits. The upper house of Australia's parliament has passed legislation, dubbed the Carbon Farming Initiative, aimed at providing tax breaks to growers ahead of the government's plan to introduce a carbon tax on July 1, 2012.
