Alberta launches land-use framework public consultations

June 2, 2014 - The government of Alberta has launched the first phase of public consultations for the North Saskatchewan Regional Plan.

From now through June 26, Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development will be visiting 21 communities, hosting workshops and open information sessions. The open-house style sessions are an opportunity for the public to have a say in Alberta's land-use planning.

The government is encouraging Alberta's agricultural producers to provide feedback by attending a session in their area. Those unable to attend have the opportunity to read the Profile of the Region and Terms of Reference and fill out an online workbook available from now until July 31.

For further information including dates and locations of sessions, visit www.landuse.alberta.ca.
