2014 Ontario soybean variety trials publication now available online

 

December 9, 2014 - The Ontario Soybean and Canola Committee has released its 2014 Soybean Variety Trials research results.

The organization is made up of representatives of Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, the University of Guelph, the Ontario Seed Growers Association, the Canadian Seed Trade Association, Grain Farmers of Ontario, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and various agricultural organizations. Tests are conducted each year by AAFC research centres at Ottawa and Harrow.

The mission of the OSACC is:

  • To promote research, development and extension knowledge sharing throughout the soybean and canola sector of the agriculture and food system in Ontario.
  • To conduct or coordinate soybean and canola trials which can be used to provide performance information to growers and/or variety registration recommendations to CFIA.
  • To provide advice from the soybean and canola sector to provincial and federal institutions involved in agriculture and food research in these sectors.
