Saskatchewan student scholarships awarded

May 21, 2013, Regina, SK - Ten students from Saskatchewan are winners of the 2013 Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship. The students from across the province will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to help pay for their agriculture-related post-secondary education.

Applicants were asked to produce a three-minute creative video or write a well-researched 750-word essay describing why agriculture, now more than ever, is a vibrant, diverse industry. They also provided letters of recommendation from a teacher, agriculture industry leader or community leader.

The winners of the scholarship are:

  • Kaitlyn Polegi, Jedburgh
  • Samantha McKee, Turtleford
  • Bethany Harland, Frenchman Butte
  • Sheldon Moellenbeck, Humboldt
  • Sydney Lake, Turtleford
  • Ryan Olson, Penzance
  • Bailey Wilson, Tugaske
  • Kenton May, Riverhurst
  • Brett Bowes, Kamsack
  • Jonathan Neigum, Unity
