Written by

January 15, 2009

Farm Credit Canada has a series of interesting topics to cover during their second annual Ag Day in Canada on January 28th.

Swift Current is one of 14 Saskatchewan communities and 89 centres across Canada that will be hosting Ag Day in Canada events. Swift Current's event runs from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Days Inn.

One of the highlights of the meeting will be an opportunity to hear the results of FCC's second annual nation-wide Vision Panel, where more than 9000 producers weighed in on important agriculture issues and opportunities in their industry.

The event also offers an opportunity to take a closer look at land values nationally as well as locally with FCC's Farmland Values Report.

Other Ag Day in Canada features include the opportuity to listen to young farmers outline how they are successfully growing their businesses, as well as their perspectives on the future. Those attending can also learn more about the future of agriculture alongside producers and agri-business operators. Learn more about energy conservation and the benefits of the rapidly expanding biodiesel industry.

For more information or to register, visit www.agdayincanada.ca.  Keep in mind that seating is limited.
